Diagnostic Assessment

A comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic assessment plays a crucial role in the start of mental health care, allowing a holistic understanding of an individual's psychological well-being and evaluating the presence, severity, and impact of any psychiatric conditions.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Dr. Mesrie will begin by incorporating information from the initial consultation call, an in-depth interview during which she gathers detailed information about your symptoms, personal history, and current life circumstances, your intake paperwork, and any additional information such as collateral information or medical records from your previous providers. She implements evidence-based practices, clinical tools, and a range of exams and assessments to develop an initial formulation and a thoughtful preliminary diagnosis with the understanding that it is subject to change as she gets to know you better.

Individualized Treatment

You will work together with Dr. Mesrie to develop an individualized treatment plan - which may or may not include medications - that fosters improving your quality of life. She may also refer you to other specialists for further assessment if she is concerned about a medical issue that could be contributing to the picture and work with them to come up with the most comprehensive and supportive plan
